Never Grow Up. That is the most famous line from a very famous character named Peter Pan. There are a lot of rumors and misconceptions about this guy. If you want to know about this immortal flying boy, read these interesting facts about this fairy boy below.
1. It came from a lot of form literature. On December 27, 1904. The play was first performed in the Duke of York’s Theater in London. Peter Pan wasn’t the only main character of this 1911 novel which is named Peter and Wendy adapted from the play. And Every 10 years, it was re-staged because it was really known for many people during that time.
2. There was really no fairy dust. Yes, the children and the lost boys can originally fly without the magical fairy dust. However, because of reported accidents children trying to “fly” like them, it was later added that they need fairy dust.( Your ordinary sparkling dust is not a fairy dust, FYI.)
3. Peter pan didn’t wear a suit of all green. The idea of Peter Pan wearing all green was partly invented by Disney. A lot of people said that in the original plays, he wear sorts of auburns, tans browns and cobwebs. How Peter Pan looks change slowly from time to time to be able to adapt to our period. 4. A Director’s dream. The Director of Peter Pan always wanted it to be seen on a stage play. However, he already died when the first stage play was released.
5. Peter Pan has a dark side. Like any other classical book, Peter Pan has his own dark side. The original book was really scary for children. According to a lot of critics, he originally took the lives of the lost boys.
