About
In badminton, you need to be fast and swift. It is played with equipment called rackets and shuttlecock on a wood, dirt or even just a grass ground. The court of a badminton is a smaller version of a tennis court. Badminton was first developed in Battledore and Shuttlecock.
Playing the game
When the player serves , it is already the cue that the game has started. Each one on the other side will hit the shuttlecock with the net of the racket and not letting it touch the floor. Or else, the other team or player wins.
Strategies
The objective of the game is to be able to win it by making through the required number of points which is making the opponent make mistakes. One way, is letting your opponent hit the shuttlecock so hard that it will reach the outside of the lines of your side of the court. Another is not being able to hit the shuttlecock which means hitting it on the floor. Another is holding the net. Last but not the least, holding the shuttlecock with any parts of the body.
Basic Strokes
Overhead shots can be done by hitting the shuttlecock literally above your head. Underhand shots are thrown below the person’s waistline. If you hit it on the right side, it’s called forehand shot. On the other side, it is called the backhand shot. If you are left handed, you will always substitute the left for right. Serving should be done right. And if you want to win, use a smash or kill shot for a finishing move. There are also useful auxiliary shots. These are the hairpin and cross court net shots. You can also mix them. One example is the round-the-head shot where it looks like a forehead but it’s actually an overhead backhand shot.
